Fund Manager Partnerships

A licensed Singapore platform gives fund managers the regulatory infrastructure, governance, and market access needed to launch and grow with confidence.

Establish Your Fund Management Presence in Singapore

Singapore is becoming an increasingly important base for global and regional asset managers seeking Asian capital, institutional infrastructure and access to the region's growing family-office ecosystem.

Generations Asset Management provides foreign investment managers with a Singapore-regulated fund-management platform to explore launching funds, establishing investment capabilities and developing long-term strategic partnerships in Singapore.

GenAM holds a Capital Markets Services licence for Fund Management issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Managers We Work With

GenAM works with established and emerging hedge fund managers, private equity managers, venture capital managers, private credit managers, real estate investment managers, technology and thematic managers, external asset managers, and family-office investment teams.

GenAM does not provide passive regulatory hosting. Every partnership goes through GenAM's investment, compliance, operational and reputational due diligence, and GenAM retains the regulatory responsibilities that apply to its role as licensed fund manager.

Ways to Partner With Us

Singapore VCC Sub-Fund

Foreign manager contributes investment strategy, research, track record and investor relationships; GenAM acts as Singapore fund manager subject to due dilligence, mandate and regulatory approval.

Dedicated Singapore VCC

Establish a dedicated VCC with GenAM appointed as the permissible fund manager.

Singapore Manager Partnership

Foreign manager operates as an adviser/sub-adviser or appropriately structured delegate, while GenAM retains the responsibilities required of the Singapore licensed manager.

Strategic JV / Equity Partnership

For sufficiently aligned partners, GenAM may consider a JV, strategic investment or equity partnership, subject to MAS requirements, due diligence, shareholder approval and definitive documentation.

Singapore's Momentum for Asset Managers

MAS announced a package of measures in August 2026 to strengthen Singapore's position as an asset management hub, alongside the fund tax incentives and revised family office framework already in place.

  • Hedge Fund Investment Programme — MAS intends to co-invest with hedge fund managers committed to establishing or deepening their Singapore presence. Detailed eligibility criteria have not yet been announced.
  • Fund Management Tax Exemption — a proposed tax exemption for qualifying profit-related returns from fund management services, expected from Year of Assessment 2027, with detailed conditions expected at Budget 2027.
  • ONE Pass — Investment Management Track — a proposed pathway under the Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass framework to attract senior investment professionals, with compensation assessment expected to better reflect industry pay structures.

GenAM works with international managers to assess how a genuine Singapore operating presence — capital, investment activity, talent and the right fund structure — fits this evolving landscape.

From Overseas Manager to Singapore Platform

A foreign manager brings strategy, track record, an investment team, AUM and investors. GenAM provides the CMS licence, investment governance, compliance and risk oversight, portfolio management, the VCC platform, and coordination of fund administration, banking, custody and investor onboarding.

Together, this builds a Singapore fund — hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, technology/thematic, or family investment fund — with access to Singapore's family offices, private banks, institutional investors and professional services ecosystem. It also opens a path toward a longer-term partnership: a Singapore team, a joint product, a strategic JV, or an eventual own licence at scale.
